The warm weather brought everyone out on Sunday to enjoy the brightly shining sun and warmer temps in Galena, IL.
First I met up with Becky, her son Jake, daughter Ella and mother Betsy. I've had the pleasure of photographing Becky and her kids last fall. Jake a college graduate who just recently decided to move back to Colorado and Ella a sophomore in high school was all smiles. Becky's mom Betsy joined us, she was happy to be in the park where she walks daily and to have her picture taken on the walking bridge with the city of Galena in the background. She all smiled.
Sarah and her daughter Frankie from Benton were up next. OMG, those big blue sparkling eyes were adorable and her bright yellow top and blue headband complimented her eyes. Sarah was excited to have her pictures taken with Frankie, however, Frankie needed a little time to warm up to the camera. We walked around the park which for a 1-year-old this was perfect for their newfound speed of GO! We danced, sang and had a great time. I can't wait to see Frankie and Sarah again in October when Sarah and Joe get married. Frankie, I'm sure will be cute as ever.
Mary, her granddaughter Hazel, and her daughter and daughter-in-law were last up. Hazel in that cute little sun hat was adorable. Hazel, age 2 wasn't quite sure of me or the camera, however at one point in our shoot she was OK with giving me a hug and kiss, how adorable is that. Hazel was happy picking violets and playing with Grandpa's phone. It's funny to see how equipped kids are at using cell phones. We ended the shoot at the playground where Hazel was happy to swing and climb the stairs to the slide.
Mother's Day Minis was a huge success, I can't wait to offer these again next year.
Location: Galena's Grant Park
